Abstract

This paper develops an optimal control method to regulate the grid current of a grid-connected inverter with an LCL filter. The developed method follows linear output regulation theory which is able to achieve asymptotic tracking and disturbance rejection. Both state-feedback and dynamic output-feedback trackers are designed. The suboptimality of the system in closed-loop with the designed controller is rigorously analyzed. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
