    Abstract

The temperature dependence of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate T//1** minus **1 for a nearly ferromagnetic metal is calculated in a simple paramagnon model. One and two spin-fluctuation processes can account for the high-temperature behavior of the momentum-dependent susceptibility chi (q**57 ,T), and hence the observed T//1** minus **1, giving reasonable quantitative agreement with recent experiments on Palladium metal.
