note = "Funding Information: The idea of editing this book has arisen from the series of workshops on energy management systems that took place over the period between 2016 and 2019 held in Heidelberg, Tokyo, and Mumbai. These were mainly organized by the US National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). While the workshops had a broader scope addressing current problems related to the penetration of renewable energies in power systems, they provided chances for researchers with more particular interests in cyber-physical security to meet. Moreover, pre-conference workshops were organized by the editors at the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control in 2018, 2019, and 2020. These workshops had a more clear focus on security, and the authors of this book could further interact and discuss recent advances in security and privacy methods for control systems.",
