Abstract

Authors have recently embarked upon an investigation of the fundamental aspects of production of fiber-reinforced thermoset-matrix composites. The ultimate goal of the research is to automate the production cycle and enable one to program the manufacturing sequence in order to produce composites with desired characteristics. In this paper authors describe manufacturing sequence and discuss the results of measurements of cure kinetics and specific heat.
