Abstract
The onset temperatures of the superconducting transitions for Ag/Pb/quartz, Ag/Pb/CeCu6, and Ag/Pb/Cu sandwiches were measured using ac inductance. The proximity effect of the sandwiches are analyzed. Our results indicate that the proximity effect of Pb on CeCu6 is small compared to that of Pb on Cu and the superconducting wave function of Pb penetrates more into Cu than CeCu6. This agrees with the argument of mass mismatching and the short coherence length of the heavy-fermion system.
