    Abstract

The pseudorapidity distributions of charged particles from Au + Au collisions at the maximum Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) energy facility were presented. The pseudorapidity variable was related to the particle emission angle. Results showed that the charged-particle production per pair of participant nucleons was found to increase from the peripheral to central collisions around midrapidity.
