Abstract

In this paper a new method of control of the inductance based on a Class E full-bridge rectifier and Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) for WPT systems is proposed. The proposed method controls the secondary inductance of the WPT system with a Class E full-bridge rectifier and Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM). In comparison to conventional methods, the proposed method provides real time control at high efficiency and circuit compactness. The reactance of the Class E rectifier is analyzed and the proposed circuit is presented based on the analysis. The inductance control method with PWM signals and real time resonance tuning is proposed, explained and validated with simulation and experiment.
