Abstract

The articles in this special section focus on the interaction among researchers from the biological, optical, computer science, and signal processing communities by 1) presenting cutting-edge signal processing research in quantitative bioimaging and 2) bringing the vast scope of ongoing open problems and novel applications to the attention of the signal processing community.
