Abstract

This paper provides the optimal parameters for the inspection of a 2-station unreliable machining process with blocking. Blocking occurs when a processed part is waiting at one station for another station to become available. Numerical results provide insights into the inspection problem and to problems related to monitoring and to the measure of performances of flexible manufacturing systems.
