title = "Rapid detection of exosomes & exosomal micro RNA biomarkers by electrokinetic concentration for liquid biopsy on chip",
abstract = "An electrokinetic concentration device using ion concentration polarization (ICP) is demonstrated for accelerating surface hybridization reaction between exosomal microRNA (miRNA) and morpholinos (MO) as a synthetic oligo capture probe at a nanomolar concentration range within 30 min. as well as to concentrate exosomes from human breast cancer cell lines for rapid detection. The results demonstrate an ICP-based sensing platform that enables significantly shorter detection time at very low concentrations with ease of use and requires no RT-PCR or other conventional enzyme-based amplification methods that could cause artifacts.",
