Abstract
The robust control design issues for input-shaped discrete systems were discussed. Input shaping techniques were used to reduce the residual vibration of underdamped systems by convolving the command input with a sequence of impulses. The design of the robust controller of the input-shaped system amounted to the synthesis of a controller for the nominal system, withstanding an additive perturbation. The nominal controller synthesis amounted to the design of any stabilizing controller for the input-shaped system with transfer function.
