Abstract

This paper explores the implications of sexuality education for all professionals in higher education. It reviews the history of sexuality education, the current research and the implementation of sexuality education courses and programmes in US schools and colleges. Professional issues including faculty training, ethics and interdisciplinary cooperation are discussed. A theoretical model for human sexuality education in higher education, and philosophical conclusions on the place and purpose of sexuality education in all institutions of higher education, are given.
