Solar v detection with the Icarus experiment and the neutron background measurement

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A measurement of 8B solar v's can be obtained with the 600t Icarus detector adequately shielded against neutrons. In order to reduce the uncertainty about the neutron flux intensity and energy distribution in the underground laboratory, a neutron detector has been realized and installed in the Gran Sasso laboratory.
