Abstract
A variety of phenomena occurs in pipe flows, especially if we stry away from straight circular pipes of uniform cross section. This paper illustrates a few of the complexities arising from two relatively simple changes in geometry, namely, the sudden expansion and the coiling of a circular pipe.
