Abstract
Cooperative diversity provides an effective way of improving spectral and power efficiency of the wireless networks without the additional complexity of multiple antennas. In this paper, we consider the recently introduced space-time code family known as super-orthogonal space-time trellis codes (SO-STTC) and investigate the performance of this powerful code family in a user cooperation scenario through the derivation of a pairwise error probability expression and an extensive Monte-Carlo simulation study.
