Synthetic analogs of the ristocetin binding site: Neutral, multidentate receptors for carboxylate recognition

Abstract

A new family of receptors for carboxylates has been developed based on the multidentate recognition strategy of ristocetin. Particularly strong binding is seen with receptors that employ hydroxyl binding sites.
