Abstract

In this chapter, we describe of the creation of the scoring consortium and its work. While work and findings of the consortium are used to anchor other chapters in the book, this chapter provides a full and dynamic telling of how and why we came together. The goals of this chapter are to a) provide enough information about the process so that readers can construct their own similar working group, and b) argue that it is the work of establishing a shared assessment of teacher candidate performance that is meaningful in a given context.
