Abstract
With their emphasis on digitally mediated performance and illusion, Indian call centers are an unruly subject for realist modes of documentary. This article rethinks documentary practices by comparing documentaries that sustain globalization's illusions of interface and access to the American dream with documentaries that disrupt these illusions.
