Vectorial theory of holographic optical trapping

    Abstract

    We combine Debye-Wolf diffraction integral formalism with Lorenz-Mie scattering theory to compute the electromagnetic fields projected by holographic optical trapping systems, and also the forces and torques they exert on illuminated objects.
