Abstract
The new VisSim/Embedded Controls Developer (ECD) supports the Texas Instruments' (TI) 16-bit MSP430 low-power microprocessor line. It provides the graphical embedded controls development capability while generating an efficient code for the on-chip peripherals that can fit within the limited on-chip memory resources of the MSP430. MSP430 chip set has on-chip digitally controlled oscillators, timers and a variety of other peripherals while also having a set of blocks to generate code for on-chip peripherals. The creation of VisSim/ECD for MSP430 was motivated by the growth of the MSP430 revenues to a 65% increase a year.
