Abstract

The link between volcanic eruptions and climate is well established, and work after 1960 suggested that a layer of sulphuric acid aerosols caused the changes rather than dust. This point is supported by the contrasts between the results of the Mt St Helens and El Chicon eruptions. -K.Clayton
