Abstract
We explore how pride expressions shape inferences about willingness to lead and willingness to follow for women and men as compared to happiness expressions. Inferences are shown to depend on expressers' sex and explained by perceptions of dominance for willingness to lead and perceptions of other-focus for willingness to follow.
